Terms of use
- Truffe keeps records and reminders. It is not veterinary advice.
- Scans can misread a paper, so check what you save, especially dates and doses.
- Your records are yours, and nothing here limits your rights as a consumer.
Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Rayn Rosnuk, who makes apps as Loon Softworks (Ontario, Canada). If you download Truffe from the App Store, Apple’s standard End User License Agreement also applies. If the two conflict, Apple’s agreement wins for anything it covers.
Not veterinary advice
Truffe organizes information you give it and reminds you about dates. It does not diagnose, treat or recommend care. Always follow your veterinarian’s guidance. In an emergency, call your vet or the nearest emergency animal hospital; do not rely on the app.
Check what the scanner reads
Truffe reads printed and handwritten papers on your phone. It can misread a word, a date or a number, and it asks when a date could mean two things. You are responsible for checking each field before saving, and for confirming important dates, vaccines and doses against the original paper or with your vet.
Reminders
Reminders depend on your phone, its notification settings, battery and the dates you entered. A missed or late notification is possible. Treat reminders as a helpful backup, not the only way you track your pet’s care.
Local information
Licence rules, emergency numbers and similar local notes are provided for convenience, may be incomplete or out of date, and are not legal advice. Check with your city or local authority.
Your content
Records, photos and documents you add belong to you and stay on your device. You can export them at any time. Only add documents you have the right to keep.
Purchases
Truffe is free to download. If paid options are offered in future, such as an ad-free subscription, the price and terms will be shown before you buy. Payments, renewals, refunds and cancellation are handled by Apple (or Google on Android) under their terms; you can cancel a subscription in your store account settings at any time.
Acceptable use
Don’t reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app, or use it to break the law.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Truffe is provided as is, and we are not liable for losses that come from relying on scanned data, missed reminders or local information. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live, including Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act, or excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and law
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada, except where the law where you live gives you the right to rely on it.
