Truffe for iPhone · Last updated 30 October 2026

The short version

Truffe does not collect your data. Your pets’ records, photos and scans stay on your phone. There is no account, no tracking and no advertising.

Who is responsible

Truffe is made by Rayn Rosnuk, who makes apps as Loon Softworks, 181 Gerrard St E, C4, Toronto, ON M5A 2E5, Canada. Contact: [email protected].

What the app stores, and where

Everything you add (pets, photos, vaccine and medication records, reminders, vet clinics, notes, food and costs) is stored only on your iPhone, inside the app. It is included in your phone’s own iCloud or computer backup if you have those turned on; that backup is managed by Apple and you, not by us. We cannot see or access it.

Scanning documents

When you scan a vet paper or choose a photo or PDF, your phone reads the text itself using Apple’s built-in Vision technology. The document and the text are not sent to us or to anyone else.

Your country and city

When you first open the app, you choose a language, your country and (if you like) your city. The app uses them on your phone to show money in your currency, read dates on vet papers the way your country writes them, and show local emergency and licence information. The app does not use GPS or location services, and these choices are not sent anywhere.

Camera, photos and notifications

The app asks for the camera to scan documents and take pet photos, and for your photo library so you can choose pictures and documents. It only uses what you pick. Reminder notifications are scheduled on your phone; no notification service receives your data.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting service and no account. We do not sell, share or track your information.

Exporting and deleting

You can export everything at any time from More → Export everything. Deleting a record removes it from the app. Deleting the app deletes all of its data from your phone, so export a copy first if you want to keep it.

Children

Truffe is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Where you live

Because we do not collect, receive or store your personal information, there is nothing for us to transfer between countries, and no data held by us for you to request, correct or delete. Your rights under the privacy laws where you live (for example Canada’s PIPEDA and Quebec’s Law 25, the EU and UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws) still apply. If you contact us by email, we use your message only to answer you and delete it once your question is resolved.

Changes

If a future version adds features that send data off your phone (for example, cloud backup, family sharing, advertising or an online scanning service), we will update this policy before that version ships, describe exactly what is sent and where it is stored, and ask for your consent in the app where the law requires it.
